SCOTT BAUER...surfing photographer

Scott has been taking photographs professionally for 12 years, his work is published all over the globe from Europe to the USA. Looking at Scott's background it's not hard to see why his water images are so highly regarded. Growing up on North Western Australia's desert fringe on a staple diet of Free diving and Surf, his main inspiration has always been the raw coast.

"I learned Photography in the days of film, it's crazy how far everything has come since then and accelerating faster and faster into the digital age" says Scott, "The ocean is a huge part in my life and to mix that with my love of photography is truly awesome, I hope everyone enjoys my images as much as i like taking them."

"Scott Bauer exemplifies, for me as a surf mag editor, a special, rare breed of shooter who takes photo graphs because he simply has to - he was born to do it - and as a result his images have real visual power. Scott's so much 'the real deal' that I'm pretty sure he'd be out there swimming in the heaviest waves, the wildest reefs and currents, among the biggest, bad ass fish in the ocean etc and taking pictures ... even if there was no surf industry or pro surfing or surf media world to feed of his aesthetic energy."
